Location of the „Burgmuehlen-Complex“
Brandenburg an der Havel is a town in the state of Brandenburg, Germany. It is
located on the banks of the Havel River. The population is approximately 75,000 people.
Although the Town of Brandenburg is less known than the State of Brandenburg, the
State was named after the Town and not vice versa. Today it is a small Town compared
to nearby Berlin.
However, it was once the origin of the realms of Brandenburg and Prussia.
The Dominsel (Cathedral Island) is the historic heart of the town. Here stands its oldest edifice;
the Dom St Peter und Paul (Cathedral of Saint Peter and Saint Paul).
While the exterior is rather austere, the cathedral surprises the visitor with its sumptuous interior,
especially the painted vault of the Bunte Kapelle (Coloured Chapel).
Summer belongs to the water sport enthusiasts. Not many towns provide so many
lakes, rivers and channels as Brandenburg. The River Havel joins the town with
lakes in Mecklenburg, the administrative quarter of Berlin and the Baltic Sea. The
numerous watercourses turn Brandenburg not only into a summer paradise but also
into a heaven for ice-skaters in winter.
Brandenburg, only 30 minutes by car or public transportation from Berlin provides
the blessings of small town living with the easy access to the cosmopolitan benefits
of the capital and its cultural vibrancy.
The “Burgmuehlen-Complex” is also a very attractive project for investors.
