Anthony Chapman, Q.C.
Consul Chapman practises in the areas of Real Estate Law,
Environmental Law, Commercial and Corporate Law.
Anthony Chapman is partner at the Halifax Office of
Cox Hanson O’Reilly Matheson. He is currently the
Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany
for Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
Born in Columbus Ohio, Consul Chapman was admitted
to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1980, having gratuated:
1972 – Bachelor of Arts from Yale University
1974 – Bachelor of Philosophy from Oxford University
1980 – Law Degree from Dalhousie Law School
1998 – appointed “Queen’s Counsel”
Fluent in German and French, Consul Chapman is a member of:

Suzanne Rix.
Suzanne Rix is an Associate with the Halifax office of
Cox Hanson O'Reilly Matheson and practises in the area of
Corporate and Commercial Law and Immigration Law.
A native of Nova Scotia, Suzanne Rix received her education in
Canada as well as France, and spent a year teaching English in
Germany. She graduated from Dalhousie University in 1993 with
a Bachelor of Arts, and earned her LLB from Dalhousie Law School
in 1997.
Susanne Rix has experience assisting foreign companies that are
starting up in Nova Scotia. She is familiar with the steps required
to set up a successful branch company of a European parent company
from incorporation through to commissioning market studies and
establishing government funding. She also prepares shareholders',
employment, lease and share and assett purchase agreements.
Fully fluent in French and German as well as being proficient in
Spanish, Suzanne Rix is developing a practice in Immigration Law,
particularly in the Business Immigration category, which includes
investor, entrepreneur and self-employed immigrant subcategories.
